The Midlife Mind is the writing side of Creativology.
It's where questions get more room — through personal essays, observations, research and the occasional detour into whatever I happen to be curious about.
Some questions become posts. Others send me reading, researching and thinking for days.
THE MIDLIFE MIND
A place for the questions that become harder to ignore somewhere in the middle of life.
I write about the things I can't stop thinking about: the patterns we repeat, the relationships that shape us, work and identity, the strange experience of getting older, how our minds work, and the lives we're still becoming.
Some pieces begin with research. Others begin with something I've experienced, observed, remembered or found myself wondering about.
Usually, they begin with a question.
What I write about
Self: Identity, patterns, personal history, relationships, emotions and the stories we carry.
Work: The strange things that happen when ambition, success, exhaustion and meaning start colliding.
Mind: Psychology, attention, learning, neurodiversity, mental health and the endlessly fascinating question of why our minds do what they do.
Life: Friendship, ageing, love, creativity, choices, loss, change and whatever else life decides to put on the table.
